It’s a sad day for me, I finally cancelled the first dedicated server I ever bought. I can’t even remember when I got it but I know it was when a P4 2.4 was TOP of the line, had a whopping gig of ram along with an enormous 80 gb IDE drive. Came with 1.5 terrabytes of bandwidth per month on an amazingly fast 10 meg Cisco switch. All this for a measely $169/month. The only thing that can possibly describe this beauty would be:
But alas, I move on…my new box is a Dual Xeon 5130 Dual Core (Woodcrest). 8 GB DDR Registered ECC ram, 2×120gb sata drives. 100 gb remote backup, 2.4 terrabytes Tier1 bandwidth. Monthly cost? $279. I think it’s safe to say it was a pretty decent upgrade
