Running a race…

General 2 Comments »

So for anyone that knows me….I’m not exactly the most “in-shape” person…however today, in the heat/humidity I ran a marathon - ok so it wasn’t a marathon but it felt like it.  But I finished, I didn’t die as I assumed I would and suprisingly enough I kind of enjoyed it (after I stopped feeling like I was going to die).

To top it off I played a round of golf after that (when it was even hotter) and walked it carrying my bag with a case of beer in it…I’m beat.

I also noticed if you ever want to find a large gathering of good looking women - races are where it’s at.

I guess that’s kind of old news, his house is up for sale right now, only $150 million - 56,000 square feet, 123 rooms

Link to pic of his house

Can we say…over priced?  For that price I think I’d just buy an island - good thing I will never have to make that decision!

David Hasselfoff kicked out of Wimbledon

Humor 2 Comments »

David Hasselhoff was repotedly kicked out of Wimbledon because he was too drunk, forcing a guard to walk him off the tournament grounds after he repeatedly got in arguments with the security staff.

First, the 53-year-old actor had a blazing row outside Centre Court. Guards would not let him in because he did not have a valid ticket. Then he was banned from press and players’ bars as he tried to get another drink. Hasselhoff, who has fought a long battle with booze, yelled at staff: “You should let me in. Do you know who I am? I’m The Hoff.” Hasselhoff then downed beer after beer and was later seen staggering… Security chiefs ordered Hoff out. One guard said: “He was steaming drunk.”

AllofMP3.com to be sued

Computing, Tech News No Comments »

LONDON (Reuters) - The British music industry’s trade group has been cleared to sue the controversial Russian music download site AllofMP3.com in London’s High Court.AllofMP3.com, which offers album downloads for as little as 1 pound ($1.85), is Britain’s second-most popular online music service behind Apple Computer’s iTunes Music Store, according to one survey. The Russian site claims to be in compliance with local copyright laws, but music labels say they have not given permission for AllofMP3 to sell their songs.

The High Court has given its approval to serve legal proceedings against AllofMP3 and its owner Media Services in Russia ahead of a UK court case, the British Phonographic Institute (BPI) said in a statement on Monday.

“The reason AllofMP3.com downloads are cheap is that neither the artists nor the record companies are being paid,” said BPI General Counsel Roz Groome.

Earlier this year, U.S. lawmakers warned against signing a bilateral trade deal with Russia until Moscow moved to reduce intellectual property theft, including the shutdown of AllofMP3. Russian prosecutors are conducting their own investigation of the site.

The music industry has fought back against online piracy by promoting legal online music stores and cracking down on illicit file-sharing services and their users.
